La Trobe lost to Queensland University of Technology 11-9

Back in July almost 2,000 students converged on Ballarat for Southern University Games for four days and nights of sport and socialising.

Now, it’s September, and University Games is back for its biggest event of the year.  This time, the number of students will be somewhat closer to 6,000, and the location will be the Gold Coast. He has been an integral part of the Tasmanian Tigers domestic cricket side since being recruited in 2002. Captaincy duties came during the 2009-2010 season, and now George Bailey is beginning to show Australia why he has been touted for so long as a regular for the national side. Where to begin?  The season is still going through finals, but AFL fans have seen some spectacular moments that will be embedded in the history books of 2013.

From the screamers to the howlers, the bombs to the flops, and the fabulous dashes across the field, there is no doubting the league has seen a plethora of highlights amidst controversies.
