It may have taken 36 years, but the Forest Hill Zebras finally claimed another McIntosh Shield title, defeating Vermont by 46 runs at Morton Park on Saturday.

Cricket: BHRDCA: McIntosh Shield almost gets wet on day one

For the 24 hours prior to Saturday, March 15th, weather forecasts were very closely monitored.

It was a day of firsts for the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association to start the Grand Final weekend.  Not only were the patrons at the ground witness to a high quality game, but so were people at home or on mobile, courtesy of a live streaming service. Cricket: The Ashes: when will the calamity end?

Carnage. Probably a very apt word to describe what went on during the second Ashes test at Lord’s.

The runs are not coming, the wickets are few and far between – and then along come England, the squad merrily making its way towards its third straight Ashes series victory.

It is, however, not over until the fat lady sings.  That fat lady could be singing as early as Manchester, the venue for the third test.
